You took the Reading SLP Course to better support your students in reading, but now a new challenge is here: how to implement reading intervention day-in, day-out as an SLP.
How do I navigate private practice insurance claims?! How do I handle mixed literacy groups in my school?! What is the best published assessment? How can I support students with reading difficulty + ADHD? How can I convince administrators that word reading is within my scope?!

Elizabeth's passion for empowering speech-language pathologists in literacy drives every aspect of this membership community.
Elizabeth began her career as a speech pathologist in New York City public schools, where she quickly recognized the critical connection between language proficiency, reading levels, and academic achievement. Determined to achieve better outcomes for her students, she pursued extensive literacy training.
After building expertise that made her a valued literacy resource in her school, she founded her private practice specializing in students with dual diagnoses of Developmental Language Disorder and Dyslexia.
Elizabeth's mission is clear: help more speech-language pathologists succeed in supporting student reading outcomes. She authored the ReadingSLP Course series to empower SLPs to confidently embrace their vital role in literacy intervention.
Today, Elizabeth holds certifications from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, The Academy of Orton-Gillingham, and The International Dyslexia Association. She serves as an adjunct lecturer at the City University of New York, teaching courses on dyslexia and structured literacy, while completing her doctoral degree and presenting nationally on literacy topics.
