Hi, I'm Elizabeth, it girl of the literacy world!
I spent years in public schools watching kids get "reading intervention" while their writing fell further and further behind, with nobody connecting the two.
When I started searching for a writing framework built for SLPs, one that started at the sentence level instead of jumping straight to the five-paragraph essay, I couldn't find one.
So I built it myself.
I eventually left the schools, built a private practice, and founded The Reading SLP: the first professional community built by and for SLPs who are done sitting on the sidelines of the literacy conversation.
